My version of The Twelve Inches of Christmas Snow…

Below is my version of The Twelve Inches of Christmas Snow – please feel free to share yours.  And yes – this is non-fiction my friends. :-)

On the first inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me… I delighted in the clear, crisp beauty.

On the second inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me… I baked a batch of M & M cookies.

On the third inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I watched my husband shovel the drive futilely.

On the fourth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I sang along with my Christmas CDs.

On the fifth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I ate half the batch of M & M cookies.

On the sixth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I watched my new Lewis Black DVD.

On the seventh inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I caught up on my emails from last week.

On the eighth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I named the drift that was burying my tree.

On the ninth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I ate the rest of the M & M cookies.

On the tenth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I put on my comfy elastic waist pants so I could breathe.

On the eleventh inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I made and promptly ate another batch of M & M cookies.

On the twelfth inch of Christmas snow Mother Nature gave to me…I told Mother Nature to take a flying leap.

About Ms. C

I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.

Hee hee, CC, very cute. I think we’re all on the same page here in the Hinterland. I’ve finally gotten over not being able to see my family and am trying to adjust to what is, but I didn’t go quietly. I allowed myself to be blue for a bit first. Anyway, would love a few of those cookies! I definitely have had my share of Christmas treats during these cold days. Wishing you a Happy 2010!

Thankfully I didn’t have a lot of the Christmas treats with which to comfort my dissatisfaction with the weather. Sure it would have been ok at the moment, but come next week it would have been devestating in front of the mirror.

    Cute post.
