Awhile ago I had notecards made that say – "Choose Happiness…" – and every time I look at them I am reminded that every day we are allowed a choice in our life of what path we walk. Some days it is easier to take the path – because the sun is shining brightly and the temperature is a lovely 70 degrees. Other days the path isn’t as easy to travel and takes an unwavering commitment to the premise that happiness is always a choice even on the gloomiest day.
Most folks lean toward happiness, but they too often allow others to make the choice for them…I personally think that is a mistake. What more important part of your destiny is the choice of perspective and attitude? Isn’t happiness something we all want? I think it is. I think we all seek happiness. I just wonder if everyone realizes that happiness does not result from a series of fortunate circumstances, but is instead a choice we make daily.
As for me, I choose happiness and I will continue to skip down that path, smiling and humming a happy tune. Want to come along?

I’ve never been coordinated enough to skip well–could I switch between skipping & hopping? There are days when I let the clouds get in the way, and while most clouds have a silver lining, they’ve often dissipated by the time I find it!
