The truth is in the wine…

Today, I want to give a shout out to the Theatre B folks.  I was fortunate to be able to attend last Saturday’s performance of the production Vino Veritas at Theatre B.  It was a very interesting play - funny, thought-proving and touching.  The play examined a number of layers that exist in relationships between couples and friends.  It was very well-acted and found a delicious balance between humor and the realities of life.  I encourage folks to get out to see it before the run ends (Thursdays-Saturdays until May 22 – see www.theatreb.org).  The tickets are very reasonable and I am fairly sure that it is the most bang you can find for your entertainment buck in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Saturday marked my first visit to Theatre B (I am beginning to believe I have been living in a cave for the past couple of years).  It is a small theatre on Main Avenue in downtown Fargo. It doesn’t take long once in the building to realize that Theatre B is a labor of love for a small, but dedicated, group of folks.  The heart and commitment of the actors, crew and volunteers permeates the air.

I very much enjoyed the play and even more so, I liked Theatre B and what it stands for. I plan to return to Theatre B in the future because it is clearly a place of great heart…and then of course there are the plays – what’s not to love?! :-)

My son started out as a “techie” in the Summer Performing Arts Program. He then tried out and won some parts in the high school productions. It was so enjoyable to watch him in his work, but it is hard for the “fine arts” to compete with the world of sports. That is why it is great when people take the time/money to go out and attend the local productions. Rich
