Here I am, back in North Dakota after a fabulous week out in Emmitsburg with friends and colleagues that I typically only get to see once a year (in the photo above taken in Emmitsburg are my disaster diva girlfriends – Claire and Dorothy). It was grand – to be sure…and a tad tiring, but with a whole six hours of sleep under my belt today I am feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world (I was averaging all of three to four hours a night all week).
I have many a tale to tell from this past week’s antics, but I will save those for another day. Today, I want to remind you of the invitation I extended you a week and a half ago to attend the Comics for Courage event tonight (see The depth of the wound…). This is a charity event that benefits vets from Afghanistan and Iraq and I would really like them to have a standing room only crowd. The cost to get in is only $10 and it is going to a very worthwhile cause, as such I am hoping that all of you will attend this event…not only for the $10 contribution, but more importantly to show that you care about our soldiers who have given so much and are willing to show up for them when the opportunity arises.
Below is the info for tonight’s show – I’ll be there – will you? Please come and tell your friends…I look forward to seeing you there!
