Venice Beach

On Tuesday, my brother, sister-in-law and I trekked all the way down to Los Angeles County to visit Venice Beach – a beach that is infamous for being colorful and eccentric.

Today instead of spending a lot of time talking about Venice Beach I offer a picture book of sorts – random snippets of Venice Beach through my born-again tourist eyes and my somewhat peculiar focus.   I didn’t take too many photos there – but I share with you enough to give you a flavor of the mix between beauty and absurdity.

Seeking support for naked mermaids…donations accepted.

A long time classic.

My reaction to his “stick” and then me laughing at my brother’s horror. 😉

There were many of these “Doctor” offices offering medical marijuana –

only in California!

Muscle Beach…oh my.

Surfer boys…(insert your own comment here). 😉

My favorite lifeguard shack photos…

Day three hundred and eighty-seven of the new forty – obla di obla da

About Ms. C

I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.
