I ate, I drank, I was merry…

I think my closing statement for my trip to San Antonio  – “I ate, I drank, I was merry” – is the equivalent of the battle-framed statement – “I came, I saw, I conquered.” Indeed, I did what I went to do and although I return home a tad exhausted – I am also refreshed by the all the fun and laughter I experienced with all my emergency management peeps. Tomorrow I will share a selection of photos from that great adventure, but for now I am thinking a nice night’s sleep in my own warm cozy bed is in order (it is true what Dorothy said, “There is no place like home.”).

One thing I reconfirmed for myself while in San Antonio though that I should acknowledge tonight before I head off to bed (and before I post photos that may evidence misdeeds tomorrow) is this ~ she who eats, drink and is merry in the new forty needs to remember that she isn’t still in the new twenty~ albeit, it is okay if her cute cowboy friends are.  😉

About Ms. C

I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.
