Deconstruction Or Reconstruction?

Here is a seemingly easy question for a Sunday evening – which is easier deconstruction or reconstruction?  Take your time…think about it…I am humming the Final Jeopardy tune while you are pondering it.

Okay, time is up!  Your answer?

I’ll tell you my answer – RECONSTRUCTION.  With my lower level about 80% done and a need to get the pod emptied this weekend (so the pod people can come collect it) I have spent all weekend – that is two full days from 9 AM to 11 PM on Saturday and from 8 AM to 8 PM tonight trying to reconstruct my lower level (I didn’t even shower today – seriously – this is hardcore).  And I am here to tell you folks that I have yet to complete the task.  I think I have moved into new homes and been better situated after two days.  All I had to do was move stuff back into one level and I am still trying to pull my stuff back together.

Now, it is true that there was a tremendous amount of cleaning involved – and I do mean tremendous.  I suspect I will cleaning up layers of dust for a few more weeks before I am able to fully de-dust or is that un-dust (whatever the term is) my house.  Plus, my stuff is packed up here, there and everywhere in the house (the pod really only had the furniture and a couple dozen bins) – but still – two days and I am still not done.  Apparently I am not the woman I used to be…the woman who could set up a household in two days.   Indeed, even after I am done with the basics I will likely still need another solid weekend to go through all the items I pushed up into the storage area off the laundry room to address later.  It is madness I tell you – MADNESS.

Now I need to move on to the two dozen other things I needed to do this weekend and still haven’t gotten to.   Of course, I write this blog from a place that I haven’t written in for months – my lower level – so although all in paradise is not perfect…it is looking a lot better from where I sit. 😉

Day five hundred and eighty of the new forty – obla di obla da

I’m glad you’re getting back to “normal,” although i’ve never really defined that part of life! Rest, Katherine
