Send bail…

Well, apparently I have been living in a cave the past couple of weeks.  I realized I have been immersed in my work, but I did not realize how far out of touch with recent national news I was until my regular Wednesday radio conversation with Bruce Kelly.

Bruce asked me this morning what my thoughts were on Anthony Weiner.  Frankly, I had none as I had no idea who he was.  None.  Nada. Zippo. Zilch.  Prior to this AM I had never heard the name Anthony Weiner. Well, Bruce found this inconceivable.  He stated emphatically that I was the only person in the country that did not know about Anthony Weiner.

Bruce told me I should Google weiner so that I could catch up on the news.  Alas, I was too busy all morning to get to my laptop in my room so on a break I used one of NETC’s computers in an unused meeting room.  I googled weiner.  Oh my did a lot of stuff come up.  I was still trying to take in all the weiner hits when I was visited by a local police officer.  Apparently weiner searches on the government’s secure computers are not looked upon favorably.

So thanks Bruce Kelly for telling me to Google weiner.  Now I not only know about Anthony Weiner, I also now know  what the inside of a Maryland jail looks like.  The long and short of it is – this whole weiner thing didn’t end well.  Learn from my experience folks – only Google weiner from your home computer…or do the time.

Enjoyed the post, and the google story is something to remember! Keep up the writing, effective social commentary is a nearly lost art.
