If you are one of the folks who regularly listen to my weekly radio dialogue with Bruce Kelly on Wednesdays at 7:10 AM on AM1100 you know that most of our time together is spent with me laughing. Bruce just has that effect on me. I love the 10 minutes we spend together each week. It is the best 10 minute a week relationship I have ever had.
Last week Bruce and I chatted about my Jersey boy and Bruce’s disappointment in me in not only acquiring a boyfriend, but in my writing a letter to his mother in my blog. I wish I had the ability to recap that conversation for you, but it was one of those moments in time where you just had to be there. It was hysterical…so of course I laughed through almost the entire segment.
Thanks to Bruce’s daily webisodes I can offer a consolation prize though – a snippet of the conversation that Bruce included in his webisode for that day. Jersey boy and I got a good laugh out of the webisode’s artistic interpretation of the dialogue (actually more a monolgue and me laughing). We are now embracing Jersey boy’s Bruce given moniker of Vinny.
In truth, Jersey boy is a Mike who resembles more a Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino than a Vinny; but, Bruce can call Jersey whatever he likes and ponder the ins-and-outs of me having a little Jersey Shore in my life. My friend Tammy tells me that Sonja’s antics on The Real Housewives of New York remind her of me (something about short costumes and forgetting to wear underwear…hmmm). I guess pondering the resemblances there leaves a lot of room to talk about with Bruce – what really happens when Jersey meets New York – beside me laughing hysterically that is??
