The hot wash…

In emergency management a “hot wash” is a short discussion immediately after an exercise’s conclusion.  The goal is to allow folks to share their immediate impressions of the exercise while they are still fresh in their minds.

Here is my hot wash of the IAEM Conference which took place this past week in Vegas.

I had an opportunity to see and reconnect with many friends and colleagues.

I had an opportunity to make new friends. ;-)

I learned the truth about what kind of girls go to Vegas.

I made it home in one piece despite some concerning short term repairs on my final Delta flight home.

All is well, that ends well…and as they say, it all comes out in the wash. ;-)

About Ms. C

I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.
