Adoring Matthew Sievers’ trees…

I adore the tree-focused artwork of Matthew Sievers.

And no, I am not exaggerating one bit.  I mean adore as in “being very fond of” or “to regard with loving admiration and devotion (thank you Merriam-Webster Dictionary for the assist).

And no, I am not just in adoration of Matthew Sievers’ art because of his looks; albeit, he is rather good-looking and I do consider that bonus points – beautiful art and a handsome artist – it is like a big fat juicy maraschino cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae.

What I adore is Sievers’  vantage point, use of color and the stunning beauty he catches in the simplicity of trees.

I LOVE TREES.

I am not an art connoisseur – but I know what I like and I shout from the rooftops about that which I adore.

I ADORE the tree-focused artwork of Matthew Sievers.

Based on my budget, I will likely never own an original piece of Sievers work. I will just have to admire it from afar.

Take a look at the framed litograph below and check out Sievers other tree pieces  at his website (in addition to enjoying his art you can then see if you concur that he is a maraschino cherry).

Thank you Matthew Sievers for your amazing work…did I mention that I adore your tree series?  I do…I really do.

Oh…and by the way…my birthday is July 5th – just in case you do any spring cleaning or have some extra fabulous tree artwork you are looking for a good adoptive home for.  You see, others may be better able to pay for your work, but I doubt they could adore and appreciate it as much as I do. ;-)

Oh dear–many thanks for the link, but now I’m hooked too. Picture a whole wall mural of his trees! Wow! And it reminded me of John Steinbeck in Travels With Charlie (his poodle). He looked so forward to letting Charlie “salute” a giant redwood tree (with lifted leg). There was bitter disappointment when Charlie was totally disinterested–John pouted about it for miles. :D

  2. Hello Ms. C! Thank you so much for you praise of my work. I love when someone appreciates what I’m trying to do and understands the feelings I’m expressing through my work. I’m currently preparing to compete in the ArtPrize contest. I’m entering a monumental piece in which I’ve tried to use my love of trees and changing seasons to show the seasons in a life. It’s been a pretty big undertaking but I love a new challenge! Feel free to follow me on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/matthewsieversfineart and thanks again for the “shout-out” and compliments :)
