Last year I got hooked on Jill FM (http://927jillfm.com/) – a California radio station that you can listen to on demand via the internet. It plays an incredible mix of favorites from the 70s and beyond and is great for someone like me who has been listening to the music through all those decades. The thing I sometimes forget when listening to Jill FM is that it is based in California; as such, the news and advertisements are California-based.
The first time I heard the getmyfuture.com advertisement I wasn’t really paying full attention. I thought it was advertising college education. It wasn’t until I heard the advertisement a second time that I really heard it and caught on to what was really being advertised. And no, it wasn’t education or anything that one would individually do to create the future they seek.
If you go to getmyfuture.com you will arrive at a website called Star Link Psychic Network. When they say get your future, they mean get your future from one of their psychics. They will give you a reading – for a fee of course – that hopefully clears up yor questions about the future.
Interestingly, I have never heard that advertisement around here. That is not to say that there aren’t any folks who would be interested in such a service. I suspect though that the target audience in the Midwest is much smaller than the audience in California. If you say get your future to folks around here folks just go out and make their future themselves – that is how we do things around here. We are an industrious lot.
Albeit, perhaps some folks in our area would like to get their future from getmyfuture.com – I guess I don’t really know that they would be less interested in getting a reading - after all, I’m not psychic.
