The lesser of evils…

On Sunday Tim Koester became a hero when he pulled an unconscious man from a burning vehicle in the Fargo Hardee’s parking lot.

The unconscious man, Ryan Joseph Fox, was apparently intoxicated. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.  Bummer for him, but really the lesser of two evils.  If not for Tim Koester, Ryan Fox’s interaction with the police would have been a bit different – perhaps so different that instead of hearing his Miranda rights he would have heard the zipper on a body bag (that is if one “hears” such things at that point in their journey).  Ryan Fox is lucky that Tim Koester was around to save the day.

Bravo Tim for stepping into a dangerous situation to save another person’s life.  I hope when Ryan Fox sobers up he’ll remember to issue Tim a proper thank you.
