Amen Mary Maxwell!

My friend Katherine Tweed sent me a great video that I want to share with the readers of my blog.  It is a video of Mary Maxwell, a lovely woman who was asked to deliver the invocation at a Home Instead Senior Care event.  She starts off her prayer session in a traditional way, but then quickly has a one on one with God about getting old.

Her dead pan delivery is sure to get you laughing. Mary takes the time in her conversation with God to point out some of the challenges she has faced with aging.  I so enjoyed this video of Mary Maxwell’s invocation that I watched it three times.  What a treasure she is!

I think we can learn something from Mary Maxwell’s presentation – we can learn to laugh our way into our golden years.  There is humor in the whole affair and it seems it is infinitely better to laugh and roll with it than to complain and fight against it.

Thank you Katherine for introducing me to Mary Maxwell. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I am going to have to watch that invocation again. ;-)

About Ms. C

I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.
