Been to Kirkland’s yet?

I have a hot tip to share today with Fargo area shoppers – there is a new store in town.  I first saw the store before Christmas, but never had a chance to visit it until yesterday.  The  new store is called Kirkland’s and it is located on 13th Avenue in the Hobby Lobby strip mall.

Kirkland’s is a home decor store that has its roots in Tennessee. Kirkland’s operates 320 stores in 34 states.  The Fargo store is the first North Dakota location.  I will go out on a limb right here and now by saying that I think Kirkland’s will be a hit in this area.   It has a great mix of items in a comfortable browsing format that is designed more like a boutique than a chain store.  Some of the Kirkland’s items you may see in other stores, but you will also see many things in Kirkland’s that you won’t see in other area stores.  In addition, I think the word that will come to mind when you visit and start looking at some of the prices in Kirkland’s is reasonable.

I imagine Kirkland’s is frequented by interior decorators – it strikes me as that kind of store.  It is somewhat like a Pier 1 Imports, with a lot less sticker shock and with a much more open layout.  I am a fan.  I meandered around the store a good long time taking it all in.

I’ll be going back to Kirkland’s regularly.  I imagine that it will become a popular shopping spot for locals.  If you have not visited Kirkland’s yet, check it out.  I think you may just find a few things that strike your fancy. ;-)

We use to have a Kirklands at Coralville (Iowa City) that was closed about a year ago. It was a favorite of many shoppers. We miss it. Congratulations to the Fargo shopping area. Customers will love it. Always a fun place to shop

I made a quick stop one evening before Christmas and am anxious to stop there again. Like you said, the prices are reasonable. My mom likes that kind of stuff and I told her there is a whole store of it.
