I am on active Glamma duty tonight while Sarah and Dusty have an evening out together. It amuses me that they still ask me if I can watch Lennon on the days or nights they want to go out as a couple. I wonder how it has escaped them that it takes all I have to give him back each time. Surely, they cannot think that I would ever say, “no” to spending time with him…I imagine they are being polite asking if I can watch him.
I am a Glamma cubed. In addition to Lennon, I have two older grandchildren – Noah Jr. and Cortney. Folks who have arrived at grandparent status know that grandchildren are an unparallelled joy. There really isn’t anything better than spending time with those pure little bundles of love.
Being a grandparent is a different gig than being a parent. As a parent I had (indeed, still have) a myriad of responsibilities; as a grandparent I have one responsibility – spoil my grandchildren. I like this gig and I am not alone. The secret is out – being a grandparent is fabulous!
If you don’t believe me, check out the words of others:

Can I watch one of my grandbabies? Sure I can. The real difficulty is giving them back.
