Hitting the demographic hard…

I love marketing when it is at the top of its game.  For marketing to be at the top of its game the folks designing the campaign have to really understand the targeted demographic.  That is no small feat when the demographic is women from ages 20-90+.

But by golly, I ran across a marketing campaign recently that hit the demographic hard and is an excellent representation of understanding and playing to your market.  The campaign is focused on promoting breast self exams and it wisely selected just the right folks to pitch the message, in exactly the right way.

I wish I could tell you more about it – but you really need to see it for yourself (and be sure to watch the credits as well).  You can see it here and if you agree with me on its effectiveness you can get the app on your phone.  I can tell you that I have been thinking about breast self exams ever since I watched it.  Of course I have watched it again and again and again…good marketing has that effect on me. ;-)
