March Forth…

On this day – March 4th – I share a message from one of my inspirational fierce girls – Katherine Kraft Tweed.

March Forth to the Future – Today

Today is the day. This is the only day of the year that is both a verb and a command.

Today comes at a time, which in our part of the world, is a bit dismal. Winter is ending and spring is tantalizing.

While we have a beautiful snowfall, covering the gray of the last snow, we know it will turn gray.

This could all be dismal. It is not.

Today is the day.

Today is the day to re-commit to whatever you need to do, want to do, choose to do.

Today is the day to give yourself a pat on the back for whatever you know you have done well.

Today is the day to give someone else a high-five, a smile, a note of encouragement, a hug to someone who needs it.

Today is the day to give yourself quiet time.

Today is the day to revel in enjoying the small things, the things that can really make you happy.

Today is the day to spend time reflecting on the goodness in your life.

Today is the day to skip doing something just because someone else thinks it needs to be done today – evaluate the true worth of others’ advice.

Today is the day to praise, to forgive, to share thanks.

Today is your day. Live it with a smile.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, Katherine – today is my day and I am living it with a smile. ;-)
I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.
    A wonderful holiday indeed! No frenzy of shopping or obligatory social events…I LOVE it! On this March 4th, I’m watching the snow come down as we brace for another blizzard and feeling so thankful that I don’t have to concern myself with “due dates”. Three of my four children were born in the calm between blizzards. :P
    Enjoyed my day, getting done all the things that needed to be done. Those things like smiling, being kind to others and myself, and just being in the world. :D
