The gift…

I want to thank the middle school music teachers, Mrs. Larson and Ms. Schwartz.  They gave me a great gift last year when Cheyenne wanted to quit playing viola.  They convinced her to stay with it for another year.  They did what I could not – they provided a rationale she thought had merit.  And me, well I got another year of beautiful music.

On Monday evening the family went to Cheyenne’s March concert.  The kids did a fabulous job.  I never cease to be amazed at how much they have grown since sixth grade.  The pieces they play have become longer and more advanced.  They have grown into a level of musical confidence over these past few years that is evident in every note.

Cheyenne has decided that she will be in the orchestra again next year.  That means another year of growth for her and another year of beautiful music for me.  So thanks again Mrs. Larson and Ms. Schwartz for the gift you gave Cheyenne and the gift you gave me…I am eternally grateful. ;-)

About Ms. C

I teach at NDSU...but I remain a student of life with all the enthusiasm that entails. My favorite saying is, "Sometimes you have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down." In the new forty that is what I am doing...building my wings.

Beautiful picture! All that Sparkle…and music too. PLUS a brother who brings flowers. It just doesn’t get any better than that! :)
